The story was much different for casino and hotel properties around the Las Vegas Strip. Caesars Sportsbook ( NASDAQ: CZR ), Station Casinos, and the Westgate SuperBook also said they beat their betting handle records for a single auto race.
The sportsbook said it took 3X the number of bets on the race than any previous auto racing contest. BetMGM ( NYSE: MGM) ( OTCPK:GMVHF) disclosed that the event was the most bet F1 event in the company's history.
